These are minimum standards, and you must determine your own acceptable level of risk. Riding a motorcycle is inherently dangerous, and your choice of protective gear has a direct impact on your chance of being injured and how severe those injuries could be during the course.
Required Course Riding Gear

Helmet – Full-face and 3/4 helmets are acceptable provided that they meet DOT certification. Personal helmets are subject to inspection for the DOT certification and that they are in good working condition. Half-helmets are NOT ACCEPTABLE. We do have loaner 3/4 helmets but you will need your own protective eyewear.
Eye Protection
Eye protection – Face shield, goggles or some form of sun/eyeglasses. They may be tinted or clear. Ordinary prescription glasses may be worn. For night training, eye protection must be clear.
