RIDE THE LAS VEGAS TO HOOVER DAM

Are you ready to see one of the miraculous construction achievements of the 21st century? Hoover Dam is the highest concrete dam in the Western Hemisphere, and the recently completed Mike O’Callaghan/Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge is the second-highest bridge in the U.S.

The Ride (70 miles): Take I-15 south to I-215 east. Travel east on I-215 for approximately 10 miles to the junction of I-215 and US 93/US 95. Take US Highway 93 south and continue about 20 miles to Boulder City. In Boulder City, take a left at the second stoplight in town (there are only two of them). Continue on US 93 for about five miles (just past the Hacienda Hotel) to the turn-off onto SR 172—the Hoover Dam Access Road. Take SR 172 for about two miles to the dam on the Nevada and Arizona border.
