Some of the best-kept secrets in Nevada are the state parks in Lincoln County. Use Alamo as your base camp, and stay at A Cowboy’s Dream Bed & Breakfast or Windmill Ridge. Riders who venture to this area will be rewarded with some of the most varied, scenic riding the state has to offer.
The Ride (217 miles): From Alamo, follow US 93 north and east to Caliente for 54 miles and take a brief three-mile side trip to Kershaw-Ryan State Park. Continue north on US 93 to Cathedral Gorge State Park for 14 miles and onto Pioche for another 11 miles. The rides from Pioche, Spring Valley State Park and Echo Canyon State Park are 32 and 24-mile roundtrips, respectively. Return to Alamo via US 93 south for 79 miles.
