This pass separates Nevada’s Alps, or the Ruby Mountains, from the East Humboldt Range.
The Ride (78 miles): From Elko, follow I-80 for 18 miles east to Halleck at exit 321. The Secret Pass is 21 miles south on SR 229. Follow the same route back to Elko for 39 miles.
